Are you tired of living with an old, outdated kitchen? Maybe you would like to update your kitchen to expedite the sale of your home. There are many options available when it comes to remodeling your kitchen, including, replacing, refinishing and painting your cabinets. However, I would like to suggest to you 6 great reasons to reface those kitchen cabinets.

Affordability: The average cost to reface a kitchen will be anywhere between $3,500 to 6,500 depending on the size of the kitchen. The average cost to replace a kitchen starts at around $20,000 to $40,00. The reason is simple, refacing makes use of your old, structurally sound cabinets. Why tear out perfectly good cabinets, only to replace them with perfectly good cabinets? The truth is, your old cabinets are often better constructed than today's cabinets. This is one of the reasons why refacing was such a great idea 35 years ago and is still going strong today.

Choices: With cabinet refacing you can choose from any door style and door material on the market today. Solid wood doors come in over 230 stain colors for each species of wood. Another door choice is rigid thermofoil, (rigid vinyl adhered to ultra density fiber board). Knobs and door handles also come in a large variety. Your old cabinet boxes will look new again, once they are covered in 1/4 inch (real wood) veneer to match your doors and drawers. You will also have the option of adding extra cabinets or taking a large single cabinet and turning it into a double cabinet. When refacing your kitchen you might want to consider adding new countertops or an island. Treat yourself to those extras you've always wanted, such as, a Lazy Susan, space savers, spice racks and pull outs. With the money you'll be saving by refacing, you may choose to purchase some new appliances. If you need help with visualizing your kitchen, there are hundreds of before and after photos of kitchen refacing right on the web. Kitchen remodeling magazines can give you some great ideas as to what would be the best door choices and colors for your kitchen.

NOTE: We Prefere the Solid Wood Doors for Looks and Longevity. We can do the laminate and Foil doors as well.

Fast: Cabinet refacing can be done on average in 2-4 days. Doors and drawer fronts are sprayed and prepared ahead of time, delivered to your kitchen and hung. Unlike painting or refinishing your cabinets, refacing will not leave any toxic fumes lingering in your home. If you choose to add extra cabinets or an island, it doesn't necessarily lengthen the average refacing time. On the other hand, if you choose to replace your cabinets it will be a huge and pricey undertaking that could take a month or more to complete.

No Mess: With cabinet refacing you will still be able to have access to your kitchen during the refacing process, now, that's hard to beat! Your kitchen will not be littered with sawdust, debris, and whatever else a complete kitchen remodeling will leave you with. Once the refacing is complete in 2-4 days, your kitchen will be clean and ready to use.

Transformation: Kitchen refacing is such an amazing transformation in a very short time period. Your kitchen will look and feel brand new, no one will be able to tell it was refaced. After all, the doors, handles, molding and countertops are all brand new and the existing cabinet boxes have all been covered to match your doors and drawer fronts.

Longevity: Refaced cabinets will last as long as new cabinets and easily hold up to 20 years of normal wear and tear. Any repairs that are needed to your refaced cabinets are usually minor and very simple to repair.
